I said we're taking care of Windows Mobile users with Notes Traveler. I apologize, I should have said "we will", since Traveler ships with Domino 8.0.1 that is due in the next weeks. In any case you will not find it in the box of the device, you will find it installed in your company ( if they upgrade to 8.0.1 ). Does not make sense to have something that sync with Notes shipped with the phone, because as I said we're not into the consumer market. If someone uses Notes, then is likely to happen in the work environment so is there that you will find Traveler.
This leads to the second point - Notes free (basically all your responses are dealing with this) or Notes in the consumer market.
Let's assume ( reductio ad absurdum ) that every PC user is familiar with Outlook express. Then what do you think are the functionalities they use most ? I'll bet is "new mail" then "send and receive", 2 buttons. Do you think that such a user will find hard to use Notes in the office ? We do have the same 2 buttons :-)
What I am saying is that if you know how to use ANY mail client (Thunderbird, Eudora, Outlook,...) then you can use Notes. If you are talking about "advanced features" of Outlook, then is not true that everyone uses those, and if they are familiar with those in Outlook then they will learn how to use them in Notes in 10 minutes. I am obviously talking of N8, let's not start the thread "notes sucks" because somebody is comparing Outlook 2007 with Notes 4.5 :-)
